The phrase comes from Ovid’s Metamorphoses – a meditation on transformation as the fundamental law of existence. Nothing disappears; it merely changes form.
Across history, power shifts, narratives are rewritten, reputations are reshaped. What once seemed fixed dissolves into something new.
In this work, I reflect both on women’s stories and on history as a whole, as well as on my own lived experience. Throughout my life, I have encountered different versions of myself, each one containing the previous. In the same way, the achievements of women who came before us remain embedded in our present reality.
Change is not erasure. It is continuation.
